The 2013 Mercedes-Benz A45 AMG was not by any means a slouch, as it had 355 horsepower and 450 Nm of torque at your disposal. With the arrival of the facelifted model, Mercedes-Benz has increased the power, now with 381 hp and 475 Nm of torque.

Dubbed as the baby AMG, the Mercedes-Benz A45 AMG packs the smallest engine that AMG has, which is a 2-litre four cylinder that has been turbocharged. As mentioned earlier, this handbuilt engine now pumps out 381 horsepower and 475 Nm of torque. Engineers at Mercedes-Benz revised the valve assembly, reconfigured timing and turbochargers to achieve the full 381 hp. Boost remains at 1.8 bar.

Impressive numbers indeed. Mercedes-Benz has also revised the gear ratios on the facelifted A45 AMG, which allows the car to sprint to 100 km/h from standstill in just 4.2 seconds, 0.4 seconds faster than the pre-facelifted model. Gears from 3rd to 7th has been shortened, which allows for better acceleration at any speed.
