Following teaser images of the Aston Martin Lagonda, the British company has released a bunch of official photos of the new model which is currently undergoing “Hot Environment Testing (HET)” in Oman.

As previously mentioned, the Aston Martin’s Lagonda is created exclusively for the Middle East and will be available to customers only on an invitation basis. In the next four weeks, Aston Martin will conduct testing of the Lagonda in Oman that will cover around 22,530 km in temperatures ranging from 30 degrees Celsius to 50 degrees Celsius before heading back to UK for additional tests.

According to the automaker, the tests are designed to allow the engineers the opportunity to study the functionality and durability of the car in the hot climate, including aspects like the efficiency of its air-con system and how its interior trims tolerate the heat.

The carbon fibre-bodied Lagonda uses Rapide’s VH platform and will be built in a limited series of less than 100 units and all will have an updated V12 6.0-litre engine producing an estimated 600 bhp delivered to the rear wheels via an 8-speed automatic gearbox helping the high-powered sedan to reach 100 km/h from a standstill in around 4.2 seconds.

Pricing for the Lagonda hasn’t been disclosed but as you can probably imagine, it won’t come cheap since it will be built to meet a specific market demand.
