Founded by Ridzuwan Ayeop and his wife, mytayar.com is said to be the first online tyre store in Malaysia. Ridzuwan conceived the website after he got cheated by an unscrupulous car workshop. Started a year ago, mytayar.com now boasts a network of 50 workshops within the Klang Valley, Ipoh and Melaka.

According to Ridzuwan, the website was specially designed for the honest and reliable car workshops as a gateway to the internet savvy consumers. “To gain the trust from the skeptical consumers, the consumers are only required to pay a booking fee of 5% of the purchase value online to purchase the products. The balance is only paid once the workshops have completed the works,” he said.

Monthly response has been overwhelming, which is an indication that many car owners are searching for a reliable workshop. Buyers will only need to pay a booking fee of 5% of the purchase value online to purchase the products. The balance is only paid when the workshop has finished the job.

The platform enables consumers to purchase a range of car accessories ranging from tyres, batteries and car servicing package online after perusing the offerings from the multiple participating network workshops. It gives consumers a peace of mind and the choice to obtain competitive pricing,” he added.

Ridzuwan is confident that his website will continue to grow, following plans to expand nationwide. The expansion  will be a growth catalyst to boost the company’s revenue as it is dependent on the commissions gained from the network workshops.

For the network workshops, the website is the best marketing tool to attract customers. There is neither joining fee nor listing fee to join the website. They will be charged a commission only on the successful sale through the website. Network workshops are given back end solution to update pricing on their own to reflect recent prices.
