After the Volkswagen Jetta Limited Edition and Volkswagen Beetle Bug Edition‘s debut, Volkswagen Malaysia has launched another limited edition model. Initially previewed at the 2015 KL Fashion Week, the Beetle Club Edition is officially launched!
Similar to the Jetta Limited Edition, the new Beetle Club Edition is a slight design overhaul, with the oily bits remaining identical. Let’s take a closer look at the changes the Beetle Club Edition has undergone.
Coated in a bright shade of Habanero Orange, the Volkswagen Beetle Club Edition ditches the original 16-inch wheels for a set of 17-inch Ravenna alloys in Sterling Silver. The once-body coloured side mirrors are now finished in black, with new “Club” decals running below the door.
As for the interior, the leather interior from the regular Beetle has been retained, but now features Calypso Orange highlights and stitching. The multifunction steering wheel gets a unique “Club” insignia, while the Twist Wave Dark cubic film gives a carbon-fibre feel to the dashboard. Audio system is backed by the “Composition Media” head unit.
Powering the Volkswagen Beetle Club Edition is the tried-and-tested 1.2-litre TSI engine with 105 PS and 175 Nm of torque which transfers power to the front wheels via a 7-speed DSG.
