Tesla lowers the price of Model X

It is rare to see automotive companies reduce the prices of their vehicles but Tesla has done just that with their Model X. The reason? Better efficiency which Tesla wants to translate that into better savings for their customers.

The Model X SUV has been reduced from $82,500 to $79,500 which is a $3,000 drop in price. Overall Tesla sells the Model S, the Model X and the newly launched Model 3. The next vehicle lineup is the Model Y which will use the same platform as the Model 3 in order to save on costs.

Tesla hopes that by reducing the price it should also drive new demand for the Model X which is rather popular in countries such as Hong Kong where I saw numerous Model X around the city.
