The rAWr Awards, which stands for Recognising Award Winning Results Awards was initiated by the Malaysia Convention and Exhibition Bureau (MyCEB) and Malaysia Association of Convention and Exhibition Organisers and Suppliers (MACEOS) and has the primary purpose of recognising and rewarding excellence in the Meeting, Incentive, Convention and Exhibition industries.

“We would like to thank the organisers of the rAWr Awards – the Malaysia Convention & Exhibition Bureau (MyCEB) and the Malaysian Association of Convention & Exhibition Organisers (MACEOS), for recognising Sepang International Circuit’s efforts as the brand guardians in both bringing in and managing the esteemed F1 event. We have always been committed to ensuring all events that we undertake to host are promoted and publicised both locally and internationally, to garner maximum interest,” said SIC’s Chief Executive Officer Dato’ Razlan Razali.

The Best Event Management Company Award for Excellence category was open to event management companies that plan, manage and support events such as meetings, conferences, and exhibitions, inclusive of opening ceremonies, welcome receptions, gala dinners, product launches, themed dinners as well as award ceremonies. Apart from winning in this category, SIC was also a finalist in the Best Event category, with a nomination for the Malaysian Motorcycle Grand Prix.

“We would also like to take this opportunity to thank the Malaysian Government and sponsors for entrusting SIC with the responsibility of continuously growing the Malaysian motorsports industry. In addition to hosting world-class events that we were nominated for, our team is also dedicated to developing the grassroots and peripheral businesses in this industry,” Dato’ Razlan added.
