Perodua Myvi and Alza now available in Brunei!

Perodua has begun to export the Myvi 1.5 SE and Alza 1.5 SE to Brunei, in an effort to expand its export portfolio. A total of 310 units will be shipped to the kingdom.

Perodua President and CEO, Datuk Dr Aminar Rashid Salleh said,  “This is a major step forward for Perodua to strengthen our brand presence in the region as we strive to become a player in ASEAN auto market in the years to come.

Both the Myvi 1.5 SE and the Alza 1.5 SE made a debut at the Brunei Motoring BN – Auto Show 2016 here today and their on-the-road price will be unveiled at our showroom,” GHK Motors Sdn Bhd Managing Director, Pehin Kapitan Lela Diraja Dato Paduka Goh King Chin said. GHK Motors is one of Perodua’s distributors in Brunei.

The pair of Peroduas were launched by Brunei Minister of Communications, Dato Paduka Awang Haji Mustappa bin Haji Sirat, Pehin Kapitan Lela Diraja Dato Paduka Goh, Datuk (Dr) Aminar and Mr Kurinami Takamasa, Perodua Executive.

Perodua begun exporting to Brunei in 1996, beginning with the Kancil. As of the end of 2015, Perodua has shipped 2,300 cars to the kingdom. Perodua also exports vehicles to Singapore, Mauritius, Brunei, Sri Lanka and Fiji. In fact, the Daihatsu Sirion in Indonesia is produced by Perodua.

We believe that there is demand for these models in this country as the acceptance of compact vehicles is gradually growing,” Aminar added.
