The biggest change is the new 1.2-litre PureTech turbocharged three-cylinder petrol engine that does 112 PS and 205 Nm, matched to a six-speed automatic that sends drive to the front wheels. The adoption of the new PuteTech engine means that the Peugeot 2008 is more fuel efficient than before, sipping just 4.4 L/100 km, as opposed to its predecessor’s 6.5 L/100 km.

Up front, the new update brings a revised front end to the Peugeot 2008, which includes the vertical slats on the front grille flanked by two projector headlights, black cladding on the wheel arches, new 17-inch Hydre Antra dual-tone alloy wheels and Peugeot’s tiger claw imprint on the tail light cluster.

Not wanting to fix what’s not broken, Peugeot continues to offer their i-Cockpit interior concept on the 2008 with a compact sport leather steering and large 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system taking centre stage. A heads up display is also fitted to the 2008, on top of the Arkamys 3D Audio system with 6 speakers, USB and Bluetooth connectivity, digital dual-zone climate control and a panoramic roof with blue LED mood lighting is also available. Elsewhere, Nasim said that both the Peugeot 208 and 2008 could feature Android Auto and Apple CarPlay in the near future.
