Mercedes-Benz GLC Coupé, GLS and G-Class launched in Malaysia!

Following the launch of the Mercedes-Benz GLC, the GLE and the GLE Coupé earlier this year, Mercedes-Benz Malaysia has added a trio of new models namely the GLC Coupé, GLS and G-Class aka the “G-Wagen” to complete its SUV product range in Malaysia.

“The premium SUV range by Mercedes-Benz once again redefines the standard of the local luxury SUV segment with the additional three variants to our extensive portfolio. Each vehicle offers an exciting option to complement the unique lifestyle of our Malaysian customers. Mercedes-Benz GLC Coupé

Today, Mercedes-Benz Malaysia has added a Coupé bodystyle in its GLC offerings. It stands out from the crowd by displaying all the hallmarks of an SUV, whilst adopting the sleek lines of a Coupé.

Featuring an AMG Line exterior, the GLC Coupé takes sportiness to the highest level, from the dynamic AMG bodystyling and diamond radiator grille with chrome pins through to the 20-inch AMG light alloy wheels.

The Coupé’s stylish exterior is seamlessly transitioned once inside the cabin. Clever interior lighting and high-quality upholstery both add to a sense of luxury, whilst intelligent features such as the latest Hands Free Access and Active Parking Assist with Parktronic give you all the support you need during your journey.

The GLC Coupé also feature seats in Artico leather; AMG sports pedals and AMG floor mats with embroidered ‘AMG’ lettering. The AMG sports steering wheel with its flattened bottom section gives you a firm grip and allows for sporty handling.

Technology options found in the GLC Coupé include LED Intelligent Light System headlamps, cornering light function, active light function and dynamic range adjustment for ideal visibility in all weather conditions.

Mercedes-Benz GLC Coupé is powered by an 2.0-litre 4 in-line engine that produces a total output of 211hp and 350Nm of torque. When paired to a 9G Tronic Plus 9-Speed Automatic Transmission, the GLC Coupé is capable of making a century sprint in 7.3 seconds before reaching a top speed of 250 km/h. In terms of fuel economy, the SUV returns 7.3-6.9-litre per 100 km with CO2 emissions of 170-159g/km.

The Mercedes-Benz GLC Coupé retails for RM423,888 (RM428,888 with Burmester Surround Sound System) on-the-road including GST without Insurance.

The Mercedes-Benz GLS is the S-Class amongst the SUVs. This full-fledged seven-seater boasts ample spaciousness, while combining luxury with impressive levels of comfort, agile dynamics and best in class safety.

The GLS 400 features AMG Line exterior, comprising specific front and rear aprons, side running boards, side flaps painted in the vehicle colour and 21-inch AMG light-alloy wheels. Even more exclusivity is created with the Night package which is available in conjunction with this design and equipment line.

Inside the cabin, the GLS feature fine quality materials and finishes feature throughout, while standard tech ranges from new Apple CarPlay to a stunning Harman Kardon Logic 7 surround system. It’s roomy too, with comfortable seating for 7 adults and an impressive boot capacity of up to 2,300 litres.

The GLS 400 4MATIC is powered by a 3-0-litre V6 biturbo engine, also featuring direct injection. This engine produces an output of 333 hp and 480 Nm of torque. When paired to a 9-Speed 9G-Tronic Automatic Transmission, the GLS 400 4MATIC sprint from 0-100km/h in 6.6 seconds, while top speed is limited at 240 km/h. The GLS 400 4MATIC makes do with 8.9 l/100 km (206 g CO2/km) according to the NEDC combined cycle, and like all models, it also feature an ECO start/stop function.

The on-the-road price inclusive of GST without insurance for the GLS 400 4MATIC is RM888,888.

Since it was originally conceived in 1979, the G-Class has undergone an astounding process of evolution as a vehicle to be used primarily in tough off-road terrain. The G-Class today is the top model among luxury-class cross-country vehicles, and has provided the gene pool for the other very successful SUVs built under the Mercedes-Benz brand.

The new Mercedes-AMG G 63 impresses with state-of-the-art drive technology, as well as timeless and unmistakable design. This is largely attributable to the AMG 5.5-litre V8 biturbo engine delivering an output of 571hp and 760Nm of torque, when paired to an AMG Speedshift Plus 7G-Tronic automatic transmission system. This enables the Mercedes-AMGG 63 to accelerate from zero to 100 km/h in just 5.4 seconds, with a top speed of 210 km/h (electronically limited).

Its face is characterized by the AMG radiator grille with duel lamellae and four chrome inserts, as well as prominent bumpers with large air intakes. Another feature that is characteristic for the AMG model is the fender flares. Optional stainless steel running boards and protective strips on the sides containing inserts with a brushed aluminum look complement the exclusive exterior.

Other signs of distinction are the “V8 BITURBO” lettering on the front fenders and the Mercedes-AMG G 63 nameplate on the rear door. Red brake calipers and 21-inch wheels AMG forged wheels painted in matte black round off the expressive exterior.

The Mercedes-AMG G 63 retails for approx. RM1,181,888 on-the-road inclusive of GST without Insurance.
