The 2017 Ferrari Challenge Asia-Pacific will once again make its return to Singapore in support of the Formula 1 Singapore Grand Prix. The Marina Bay Street Circuit, noted to be one of the most physically challenging on the F1 calendar with 23 corners, will see around 30 drivers representing Singapore, Japan, China, Hong Kong, New Zealand, Australia, Thailand, South Korea, Taiwan, Malaysia, the United States, Canada, France and Italy. They will be getting behind the wheel of the new 488 Challenge for two adrenalin-filled races around the 5.065 km unique track located near the harbourside.

The races will surely provide overwhelming excitement and adrenaline to the packed weekend as fans from around the world witness some of the best racing action from Maranello. Adding to the atmosphere is the possibility that 2017 will be the last chance for Ferrari Challenge drivers to race on the Marina Bay street circuit. In addition, Ferrari has announced that they will contribute on this occasion to the President’s Challenge, Singapore’s official and most important Charity organization.

The 488 Challenge is the sixth model to participate in the one-make series which, in 2017, celebrates its 25th anniversary since the series’ debut in 1992. It is the first-ever turbo-charged model to race and is the most powerful Challenge car ever, powered by the 670 cv 3.9-litre V8 derived from the series production engine. Thanks to extensive development of the car’s engine, aerodynamics and chassis, the 488 Challenge achieves a new record of 1’15.5” at the Fiorano track.
