What Can We Expect from the new Renault Sport Megane? [+video]

Over here in Malaysia, Renault has done a great job pushing out the Megane RS. It looks absolutely gorgeous and it has the performance to boot. Staying pure to the driving spirit, the Megane RS isn’t some gaudy AWD monstrosity but rather, imagine a French beauty with sexy curves all around.

The first Megane Renault Sport 250 was launched in Malaysia back in 2010. 7 years have passed and TC Euro Cars have brought in the Megane Renault Sport 265 and 275 models.

Loved by modders and purist alike, you wouldn’t fail to see a Megane RS at Sepang at the local track day event. It sets amazing lap times and proved to be able to take on other monsters even with its Front Wheel Drive set up.

The new Megane RS will have enormous shoes to fill, but we can only hope to see better improvements across all aspects of the car. If Renault is going to focus on it being a drivers car, then one can assume that it should at least start off with 300hp with a stiffer chassis and retuned suspension to tackle all situations. The car should still sport the FWD configuration and as naysayers start complaining, the current generation of the Megane RS did hold the record for fastest FWD at the Nurburgring twice!

So what can we expect from the 2017 Renault Megane RS? A whole lot more of madness.
