BMW Group Malaysia is set to debut the locally-assembled BMW X1 and BMW X4, that receives the customised Energy Efficient Vehicle (EEV) Status Incentives during the BMW xDrive Xperience 2016 weekend.
The event is set to take place over the weekend of the 21st to 22nd May 2016 and the following weekend, the 28th and 29th May 2016 across all its BMW Authorised Dealerships nationwide.
The new locally-assembled BMW X1 is now offered in the BMW X1 sDrive20i (Sport Line) and the BMW X1 xDrive20d (X Line) variants. The new locally-assembled BMW X1 sDrive20i (Sport Line) is for the first time, based on the new front-wheel drive platform, while the BMW X1 xDrive20d (X Line), meanwhile, features the intelligent BMW xDrive all-wheel drive system.
xDrive operates proactively and enables fully variable drive power distribution between the front and rear axles, up to almost 100%. This makes for maximum traction and optimum propulsion on slippery surfaces. Oversteer and Understeer are prevented before they can arise for superior stability even on wet and uneven roads.
The new premium compact SAV from BMW also boasts a stunning range of driver assistance systems and a comprehensive range of infotainment equipment from the new segment leading BMW ConnectedDrive suite of technologies. This includes BMW Navigation with 6.5-inch Control Display and iDrive Touch Controller for the BMW X1 sDrive20i, while the BMW X1 XDrive20d is equipped with an 8.8-inch Control Display with split-screen function and optimised rendering, Navigation Plus including Head-Up Display, and an iDrive Touch Controller. Both variants will also offer the Parking Assistant feature. Additional BMW ConnectedDrive Services & Apps include Remote Service, Concierge Services, and Intelligent Emergency Call.
The new locally-assembled BMW X4 on the other hand, is equipped with a state-of-the-art four-cylinder petrol engine and the award-winning BMW TwinPower Turbo technology.
Subsequently, the new locally-assembled BMW X4 sets its mark as the leader in intelligent in-car connectivity with a set of comprehensive BMW ConnectedDrive features comprising of a plethora of Driver Assistance systems and Services & Apps. This includes new driver assistance systems such as Lane Departure Warning, Person Warning and Approach Control Warning – all of which can be accessed and activated by a simple touch of a button. Additional BMW ConnectedDrive Services & Apps offerings in the new locally-assembled BMW X4 includes BMW Teleservices, Intelligent Emergency Call, Concierge Services and Remote Service.

Han further added that the special status incentives could not have arrived at a better moment in time for the BMW xDrive Xperience event as the premium automaker looks to immediately share the benefits from the incentives with their customers over the weekend.

The new locally-assembled BMW X1 and BMW X4 will be demonstrated at the upcoming BMW xDrive Experience 2016 alongside other BMW X models. During which, the full range of BMW X1, BMW X3, BMW X4, BMW X5 and BMW X6 will be put through challenges via varying driving conditions and road surfaces to detail the unrivalled BMW X performance and its best-in-class driving dynamics.
Additionally, every participating customer who brings along three friends for the BMW xDrive Xperience 2016 event will also stand a chance to win special and exclusive gifts.
