If Dodge plays their cards well, the Challenger GT will carve its own niche, as pony cars traditionally are rear-wheel drives.

Power is derived from a Pentastar 3.5-litre V6 that does 305 hp and 363 Nm that drives all four wheels via a ZF eight-speed automatic. The AWD bits comes from the all-wheel drive Dodge Charger, though power is mostly sent to the rear wheels. The front wheels receive drive when needed.

Visually, there’s not much to differentiate the rear-wheel driven Challenger and the AWD variant, save for a slight bulge in the hood, 19-inch wheels wrapped with all-season rubbers, a small bootlid spoiler, GT emblems and LED lights all round. Inside, as the Challenger GT is aimed at colder states, it gets heated and ventilated Nappa leather front seats, heated steering wheel, and an infotainment system with an 8.4-inch touchscreen display.
