The Jaguar F-Pace has been named ‘Supreme Winner’ at the 2016 Women’s World Car of the Year Awards. As well as collecting the top accolade, the premium SUV was also named as Women’s World SUV/Crossover of the Year.

The Jaguar F-Pace was part of a vast list of 294 cars nominated by a panel of 17 judges from 14 countries. A master list was compiled and judges picked 6 category winners from the 32 cars that made the grade. They voted once more to make the Jaguar F-Pace the Supreme Winner from the 6 category winners.

These awards are the latest in a line of major industry honours Jaguar has received for the F-Pace since it was launch in April this year. Fiona Pargeter, Head of Global PR Communications for Jaguar Land Rover, said, “The awards of Supreme Winner and Best SUV/Crossover in the 2016 Women’s Car of the Year Awards is a great achievement and a true highlight in the continuing F-Pace success story.

The Jaguar F-Pace is an SUV designed and engineered to offer the agility, responsiveness and refinement all Jaguars are renowned for, together with unrivalled dynamics and everyday usability. It seats 5 adults in comfort with generous headroom and knee room, while offering a 650-litre luggage compartment.

Powering the Jaguar F-Pace is a 2.0-litre Ingenium turbocharged diesel engine, producing 180 PS and 450 Nm of torque. The diesel powerplant enables the SUV to sprint from 0-100 km/h in just 8.7 seconds. The Jaguar F-Pace also comes in a 3.0-litre supercharged V6 engine that features two state of tunes, namely 340 PS and 380 PS. The 340 PS variant can perform a century sprint in just 5.8 seconds, while the 380 PS variant shaves 0.3 seconds off that time, bringing it down to 5.5 seconds. Power is sent to all four-wheels via an 8-speed automatic transmission.

Anna Gallagher, Senior Launch Manager for Jaguar, said, “We are very proud of this award as female buyers were at the heart of the F-Pace design from day one. Through customer clinics and data we ensured that we created a distinctive vehicle that would appeal to all lifestyles. Our teams worked hard on the feature.”

It looks like it won’t be too long now before Malaysian buyers will get the opportunity to purchase the new Jaguar F-Pace as the SUV is set for Malaysian debut on the 30th November this year! We’ll keep you posted with ‘live’ coverage of the launch event, so stay tuned!
