Tesla has a new president looking after automotive operations

In a recent spate of bad media publicity, Tesla has gotten a lot of flak thanks to Elon Musk’s antics on Twitter for calling a certain someone a pedo as well as continuously toy his legions of followers with titbits such as making Tesla private. This, of course, has a lot of consequences as many take the written word on Twitter as the gospel truth but the repercussions are indeed real.

Recently execs such as their Chief Accounting Office and Head of People have resigned prompting a lot of leadership changes. With that, Tesla has promoted Jerome Guillen to be President, Automotive and he reports directly to Elon Musk. Jerome will oversee all automotive operations and program management, as well as coordinate our extensive automotive supply chain.

This role is definitely an important one for Tesla especially since they have been having issues meeting their production quota for their Model 3. Jerome should also lift some weight off Musk’s shoulder so that he can also focus on managing the company whose stock price has slid 6% after speculation of going private.

Another exec to be promoted is Kevin Kassekert who has been promoted to VP of People and Places, with responsibility for Human Resources, Facilities, Construction, and Infrastructure Development. There are many other updates which Tesla has posted publicly after sending the note internally.

With these new changes, the rest of the world still play catch up with Tesla’s electric dream.
