8th Generation Rolls-Royce Phantom arrives in Malaysia [+Video]

Now in its eighth generation, the new Rolls-Royce Phantom has landed in Malaysia. Costing a cool RM2.2 million (before taxes) the new spaceframe equipped RR VIII is lighter yet 30% more rigid than its predecessor in Generation VII.

Utilising a cutting-edge four-corner air suspension system for that famed “magic-carpet” ride, as well as state-of-the-art chassis control systems, a whopping 130kg of sound insulation, double-laminated glass and dual-skin alloys across the bulkhead, ensure that the new Phantom is, and always will be, the absolute pinnacle of comfort and quietness.

An all-new, 6.75-litre twin-turbocharged V12 engine delivers an effortless 563hp and 900Nm of torque from just 1,700rpm, ‘spiriting’ New Phantom from 0-100km/h in a mere 5.4 seconds with the help of its seamless 8-speed, Satellite Aided transmission.

“When Rolls-Royce’s acoustic test engineers reviewed the results of road and vibration tests, the sound levels were so low they had to check their instruments were calibrated correctly…” – RR Motorcars.
