VIDEO: When Air France meets Porsche

Porsche decided that instead of the enormous torque generated by the Cayenne S Diesel to spin the world in the opposite direction, they believe that they can break the world record by towing a 265-tonne Airbus A380. The good folks at Air France thought that it would be a hoot to see them try and let Porsche have a go at the Paris Charles de Gaulle airport.

What we did see was Porsche breaking the “Heaviest aircraft pulled by a production car” Guinness World Records achievement by an amazing margin of 115-tonnes. The Cayenne S Diesel managed to tow it for 42 metres. Amazing! And Porsche also claims that it is a standard Porsche Cayenne S Diesel with no modifications whatsoever.

The Guinness World Records Adjudicator states that the vehicle model has to be sold in at least 3 countries and have at least 30 production models as well as not modified at all which the Cayenne S Diesel easily meets. The Cayenne S Diesel is powered by a 4.2 litre diesel engine producing 385hp and 850Nm of torque!
