Mazda is issuing a recall for several of its top-selling models globally over multiple defects in their diesel engine, including a problem that could lead to engines stalling. The recall involves about 460,000 CX-5, Mazda3 and Mazda6 sedans.
The cars subject to the recalls were manufactured between Feb 13, 2012 and Feb 2 this year. Mazda said no injury or fire has been reported from the defect.
Of the total, 170,000 cars were sold in Japan and the remainder overseas. We await official word from Bermaz Mazda on this, stay tuned!
