Spied! 2017 Volkswagen Tiguan captured undisguised in Kuantan!

Volkswagen Passenger Cars Malaysia (VPCM) will be launching several new models this year. One of which will be the all-new second-generation Tiguan.

Spotted on Jalan Teluk Sisek towards Teluk Cempedak, this particular Volkswagen Tiguan sheds almost all disguise compared to the last time we spotted one.

Thanks to the lack of camouflage, we can see that VPCM will offer a 280 TSI variant of the Tiguan, likely powered by a 1.4-litre TSI engine that does 150 hp and 250 Nm. We can also expect a six-speed DSG sending drive to the front wheels, as this particular Tiguan does not sport Volkswagen’s 4Motion emblem.

The 2017 Volkswagen Tiguan will be assembled locally at Volkswagen’s Pekan plant, which currently assembles the Polo, Vento, Passat and Jetta. Expect a launch later this year.
