It was back in August 2016 when Naza Italia previewed the Maserati Levante. Fast forward to 2017, the company has now made the new Maserati SUV official.
For the Malaysian market, the Maserati Levante will be powered exclusively by a 3.0-litre turbodiesel V6 that does 275 hp and 600 Nm, allowing the Levante to hit the 100 km/h mark from a standstill in just 6.9 seconds. Top speed is rated at 230 km/h. A ZF eight-speed automatic sends drive to all four wheels via Maserati’s Q4 All Wheel Drive with rear limited slip differential.
Despite being the firm’s first-ever SUV, the Maserati Levante does look remarkably Maserati, thanks to its trademark radiator grille with slim, tapered headlights. The streamlined front end allows the Levante to boast a Cd of just 0.31. Optionally, customers can choose the Luxury Pack or the Zegna Edition pack that features premium Italian leather and silk from Ermenegildo Zegna.
In terms of safety and features, the Maserati Levante gets Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop & Go function, Forward Collision Warning and Brake Assist System, Lane Departure Warning, Surround View camera, capacitive 8.4″ Touch Screen display with brand new rotary control, plus the AHA function, an addition to the Maserati Touch Control Plus which extends the AM, FM and DAB digital radio.
Priced from RM888,800, owner of the Maserati Levante is backed by a 3 year standard warranty without mileage restriction. On top of that, Naza Italia is also offering a Maserati Premium Service Plus of 3 years or 60,000 km whichever comes first. The Maserati Levante can be viewed at Naza Italia’s showroom in Petaling Jaya.
