Boustead Petroleum Marketing Sdn Bhd, better known as BHPetrol, has started offering EV charging stations at selected petrol stations.
Aimed at Electric Vehicle (EV) and Plug-in Hybrid Vehicles (PHEV) owners, these EV charging stations can be found at BHPetrol Kg Sg Ara in Petaling Jaya and BHPetrol Sg Besi Highway, after the toll plaza towards Seremban.
The company says that the stations are of the Type 2, 3-phase 22 kW Fast Charger type and owners just need to bring cables to recharge their vehicles. BHPetrol is offering a dedicated charging bay where owners can utilize the charger for free.
Owners of EVs and PHEVs, including the Renault Zoe, Nissan Leaf, BMW 330e, BMW i8, Mercedes-Benz C350e and Volvo XC90 can top of their charge at these two aforementioned stations.
BHPetrol is currently collaborating with First Energy Networks Sdn Bhd (FEN), a subsidiary of the Tan Chong Group to offer the EV charging services. On top of that, the move also sees BHPetrol playing a role in developing a sustainable community.
