After Mazda Thailand unveiled the updated 3 in Thailand last month, the company will be launching the updated Mazda 2 next week.
Like the Mazda 3, the smaller Mazda 2 will now feature Mazda’s G-Vectoring Control, which is designed to improve cornering capabilities by managing torque that goes to each wheel in response to steering angle.

Continuing on the visual front, Mazda Thailand will be introducing three new colours to the Mazda 2 range, which includes Eternal Blue Mica, Meteor Gre and Jet Black. These new colours will join Mazda’s existing range of colours like Soul Red, Snowflake White Pearl, Titanium Flash and Aluminum Metallic.
As before, the updated 2017 Mazda 2 will get ABS, EBD, Brake Assist, Dynamic Stability Control (DSC), TCS, Hill Start Assist (HSA), GVC, paddle shifters, cruise control, two airbags, Advance Blind Spot Monitoring (ABSM) and Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA).
Engine choices remain unchanged, which includes a 1.3-litre Skyactiv-G that does 93 hp and 123 Nm paired to a six-speed automatic and a 1.5-litre SkyActiv-D turbodiesel with 105 hp and 250 Nm, also paired to a six-speed automatic.
