Alleged details of the Indonesian-spec Toyota Sienta surfaces, four variants available

Just ahead of its debut at the 2016 Indonesia International Motor Show early next month, alleged specifications of the Indonesian-spec Toyota Sienta has surfaced.

According to the leaked specifications, there will be a total of four variants, ranging from the entry-level E, G, V and range-topping Q. Standard across the range is a 1.5-litre 2NR-FE Dual-VVT-i four-cylinder petrol engine that pushes out 107 PS and 143 Nm of torque. Yes, this is the same engine that will be made available on the Toyota Vios. Buyers in Indonesia will get the choice of a manual or CVT.

Also standard across the range for the Toyota Sienta are twin airbags, ABS, EBD, BA, ISOFIX child seat mounts, fabric interior and a space saver type spare tyre.

Starting from the entry-level Toyota Sienta E, this variant is only available with a manual transmission. The base model does not get front fog lights, though the head lights feature halogen projectors with leveling. Furthermore, the base model gets 15-inch steel wheels with plastic covers, manual air conditioning, monochrome multi-info display, a double-DIN head unit with integrated USB, AUX with CD and MP3 playback, remote alarm and manual sliding doors.

Moving one level up is the G variant. This variant is available with both a manual and CVT. Furthermore, the Sienta G receives the same halogen headlights with leveling and monochrome MID as the base model. However, buyers of this variant gets front fog lights, 15-inch alloy wheels, 5.6-inch touchscreen head unit with USB, AUX, Bluetooth, Miracast and Air Gesture capabilities, remote alarm with immobilizer, electric left side sliding door and rear parking sensors.

One level above the G variant is the V variant. Like the G variant, this V variant can be had with a manual or CVT. This variant is largely similar to the G variant, but adds digital air conditioning with double blower, electric sliding doors and keyless entry with push start button.

The range-topping Toyota Sienta Q receives all the bell and whistles, including bi-beam LED headlights with auto leveling, dual-tone 15-inch alloy wheels, a 4-inch TFT LCD multi-info display and a dark brown fabric interior. The top-of-the-line variant can be had with only a CVT.

According to our friends at Carlist, the Toyota Sienta is expected to make a Malaysian debut in late 2016, as UMW Toyota Motor aims to take a shot at the popular Honda HR-V.
