According to Autonetzmag, the Sienta will be positioned above the Toyota Avanza, but below the Innova, as Toyota does not offer a model at that segment and price point.

This new MPV from Toyota is very similar to the Honda Freed in many ways, including power sliding doors and body dimensions. The Sienta also features a 1.5-litre engine, though the source told Autonetzmag that the hybrid variant won’t be offered there.

Apart from that, the Indonesian spec Sienta is said to feature double blower air-conditioning, a welcomed addition for the hot climate. Elsewhere, the seat could also feature a different design from the Japanese sibling.

Interested? Well, the Toyota Sienta could definitely pose a threat to the new Honda BR-V, which has already debuted in Indonesia and Thailand. A Malaysian debut for the Toyota Sienta would definitely be a welcomed addition.
