Mercedes-Benz Malaysia has just unveiled two new models that joins their Dream Cars Collection, the all-new C-Class Cabriolet and SLC Roadster.
“The Mercedes-Benz Dream Cars Collection is a collection of the most exciting cars available in the market today. Up to now, there has been something missing in our collection – that is why we bring you another exclusive option for the connoisseurs of dream cars, the C-Class Cabriolet and the SLC Roadster,” said Mark Raine, Sales and Marketing Passenger Cars, Mercedes-Benz Malaysia.
Three variants of the Mercedes-Benz C-Class Cabriolet will be made available, namely the C 200, C 250 and C 300. All three variants are powered by the same 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine, with varying outputs. The C 200 gets 184 hp, C 250 gets 211 hp and the C 300 gets 245 hp. All three models are equipped with Mercedes-Benz’s 9G-TRONIC automatic transmission.
Performance wise, the C 200 does the century sprint in 8.2 seconds, with a top speed of 235 km/h. The C 250 on the other hand, does the same sprint in 6.9 seconds and achieves a top speed of 244 km/h. The range-topping C 300 completes the century sprint in 6.4 seconds, with a 250 km/h top speed.
Standard equipment for the C-Class Cabriolet is quite generous, as Mercedes-Benz Malaysia has fitted ambient lighting, Keyless-Go function, electrically-adjustable front driver and passenger seats, LED headlights, AMG Line for the interior and exterior, Active Park Assist, 18-inch AMG alloy wheels, Active Brake Assist, Pre-Safe System, TPMP, Thermatic automaic air-conditioning system, Audio 20 with Garmin Map Pilot, Dynamic Select and Reverse camera for all variants. The Mercedes-Benz C 200 Cabriolet will retail for RM358,888.
The C 250 Cabriolet adds leather upholstery, sports-tuned suspension and LED Intelligent Light System. Opting for the C 250 Cabriolet will cost you RM388,888.
The range-topping C 300 Cabriolet further adds a sports exhaust system, 19-inch AMG alloy wheels, Comand Online with intergrated DVD player and a Burmester Sound System. The C 300 Cabriolet retails for RM443,888.
Alongside the Mercedes-Benz C-Class Cabriolet, the company also unveiled the SLC Roadster, which will be available in two variants. The SLC 200 outputs 184 hp while the SLC 300 outputs 245 hp, both of which are powered by the same 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine. Like the C-Class Cabriolet, the SLC Roadster is also equipped with the 9G-TRONIC automatic transmission.
For the SLC Roadster, standard equipment for both variants include LED Intelligent Light System, 18-inch alloy wheels, sports exhaust, Direct-Steer System, Parktronic Park System, Active Brake Assist, Dynamic Handling Package, infotainment system with Apple CarPlay, reverse camera and Adaptive Damping Suspension. The Mercedes-Benz SLC 200 Roadster will retail for RM398,888.
The most expensive model of today’s launch is the SLC 300 Roadster, which retails for RM468,888. This variant adds a Harmon Kardon Logic 7 surround sound system with integrated DVD player. Furthermore, the SLC 300 gets a panoramic vario roof with Magic Sky Control. With the Magic Sky Control, drivers can adjust the glass roof’s darkness using a dedicated button.
