Toyota’s foray into the compact SUV segment is a new model called C-HR. The Toyota C-HR was officially unveiled at the 2016 Geneva Motor Show in March.

Global markets like UK and Japan is set to receive the Toyota C-HR by the end of this year. From the looks of it, Toyota Motor Corporation is busy road testing the all-new C-HR on home ground.

This blue sample of the Toyota C-HR has its emblems taped up, though the car is unmistakably the new C-HR thanks to its radical exterior design. From the photos, we can see that the C-HR gets LED illumination for tail lights, though the lone rear fog light appears to be of a bulb type.

Globally, the Toyota C-HR receives two engines. The first is a 1.2-litre turbo engine that delivers 116 hp and 185 Nm, mated to either a 6-speed manual or a CVT. The second engine is the one taken from the new Prius, a 1.8-litre Hybrid Synergy Drive system that delivers 122 hp. According to Toyota, C-HR models with CVT can be had with all-wheel drive or front wheel drive.
