UPDATE: The brochure of the new Persona can be viewed below!
The 2016 Proton Persona is slated to be officially launched tomorrow. From the looks of it, some Proton dealers are excited to get bookings for the new model!
Spotted on the Proton Iriz Community (Malaysia) Official Facebook group, the salesperson has posted up a photo of the new Persona under a canopy, presumably for those keen to check out the new Persona.
Sharing its platform with the Proton Iriz, the 2016 Proton Persona is now a B-segment sedan, as opposed to its predecessor, a C-segment sedan. The Persona, like before, is powered solely by a 1.6-litre Campro VVT engine, which can be had with a Punch-sourced CVT or Getrag-sourced five-speed manual. An Eco mode is available to improve fuel economy.
Other key highlights of the new 2016 Persona include ABS, EBD, BA, VSC, Traction Control and Hill Hold Assist, which are standard across all variants. In addition to that, all Persona variants also get halogen headlights up front with manual leveling, rear fog light, 15-inch alloy wheels plus front and rear parking sensors as standard equipment.
Proton is offering early birds with a 3-year free service program, inclusive of parts and labour for bookings made by 30 September 2016.
