According to a report by Autocar, Acura bought a Ferrari 458 as a benchmark for the NSX. After development work was completed, the team at Acura chopped the Ferrari up!

But it was for a good cause, as Acura wanted to study the Ferrari’s aluminium construction. An Acura insider mentioned that they were “quite impressed” with Ferrari’s construction, and that the Ferrari now remains scattered across several containers at Acura’s R&D centre in Ohio.

Carl Mason sits in the aligner chair during the wheel alignment process. Because the NSX is so low, associates would have had to be in a crouched position for long periods of time to perform its alignment. This special chair hangs on rails and allows an associate comfort while doing this 45-minute process.

Ferrari won’t be pleased to know that, of course.
