Finished in a shade of blue called Obsidian Blue Pearl, this facelifted Honda Accord boasts an updated front fascia, featuring a pair of LED headlights with LED DRLs plus LED front foglights. Whilst the general shape of the bumper looks identical to its predecessor, Honda has fitted a chrome piece that cuts across the bottom air dam. Apart from that, the Accord facelift also gets the company’s new front grille design, similar to the one found on the new Civic. Called the Solid Wing Face, this chrome grille now extends into the headlight, giving the grille a much larger appearance. Other minor improvements include a new front hood that bulges out slightly more than the pre-facelifted model.

Moving to the rear, the Accord now gets a pair of LED tail lights with three guide lights. The large chrome strip from the pre-facelifted model is carried over here as well. The bottom half of the rear bumper has also been redesigned slightly, giving the Accord a fresher appeal. Apart from that, the Accord also gets a new set of 17-inch alloy wheels all round.

Engine choices are expected to be identical to the outgoing model, which includes a 2.0-litre i-VTEC and a 2.4-litre i-VTEC four-cylinder petrol engine that drives the front wheels via a five-speed automatic. The Accord 2.4 will feature steering wheel-mounted paddle shifters as well.

Despite the display unit’s dark tint, we were able to spot a large touchscreen infotainment system. Like the Civic, the Accord is likely going to feature both Android Auto and Apple CarPlay compatibility, on top of the usual Bluetooth, AUX, HDMI and USB connectivity.
