BMW Group Malaysia is set to debut the new BMW 330e Plug-in Hybrid sometime this month and to anticipate its arrival, the company has kicked off the second #ElectricDrivingPleasure campaign, highlighting Malaysians’ changing lives through innovation, ideas, and solutions.

The locally-built BMW 330e will be the second plug-in-hybrid to be introduced by BMW Group Malaysia following the launch of the CKD BMW X5 xDrive40e in June this year.

According to Carlist.my, the BMW 330e Plug-in Hybrid is already available for bookings with an indicated price of between RM240,000 to RM260,000. This places the 330e Plug-in Hybrid somewhere between the RM231,800 320i Sport Line and the RM297,800 330i M Sport.

The BMW 330e Plug-in Hybrid is powered by a 2.0-litre, inline-four petrol engine paired to an electric motor and 8-speed automatic gearbox to produce a combined output of 248bhp and 420Nm of torque, powering the rear wheels. This allows the 330e to sprint from 0-100km/h in 5.9 seconds, before reaching a top speed of 225 km/h.

In full EV mode, the 330e Plug-in Hybrid is capable of traveling up to 120km/h and has a full electric range of 22.5km on a full charge.
