PokemonGo set to launch in Asia – Are we motorists in trouble?

So here it comes folks, as reported by AF’s sister site Hype.my, the game everyone seems to have gone nuts for, PokemonGo, is set to make its official debut in Asia in less than 48hours, it’s already caused havoc overseas; are we in for the same?

As reported at www.cartelpress.com, a truck driver caused a massive pile-up on a highway in Massachusetts when he stopped to ‘catch’ a character from the game. No, really.

Seriously you ask? Apparently so. Malaysian drivers already have a really bad habit of using their Smartphones while driving, so let’s hope this game doesn’t make things a helluva lot worse out there.

CW says…

Folks, it’s bad enough that an epidemic of drivers using their phones while driving plagues this country, and today while on my bike I saw a driver ‘weaving’, because he had both his hands cupped at the base of his steering wheel; left hand cradling a phone, right hand actually writing something with a stylus, no I’m not kidding. It’s bad out there as it is, so please, if this game does indeed land here, never open it while driving, ever. Don’t let what happened in Massachusetts happen here. – CW.
