Mercedes-Benz Malaysia has officially unveiled the new C-Class Coupe range at the Sepang International Circuit. The new C-Class Coupe range will feature three variants at launch.
All variants of the Mercedes-Benz C-Class Coupe will feature the identical M274 four-cylinder turbocharged engine, though with different states of tuning. Also identical across the range is the seven-speed 7G-Tronic Plus automatic transmission.
Starting from entry-level Mercedes-Benz C200 Coupe, this variant gets 184 horsepower at 5,500 rpm and 300 Nm from 1,200 to 4,000 rpm. 0-100 km/h is achieved in just 7.3 seconds, while top speed is rated at 235 km/h.
Kit wise, the C200 Coupe gets the Collision Prevention Assist Plus, AMG Line exterior package, twin pipe exhaust, AMG Body styling, 18-inch AMG 5-spoke alloy wheels, surround lighting, high performance LED headlights, AMG Line interior, ambient lighting with the Mirror Package, Artico leather upholstery and Thematic automatic climate control. Further standard kit includes kneebag, Pre-Safe System, runflat tyres, Tyre Pressure Monitoring System, Dynamic Select, Eco Start/Stop, Agility Control suspension, Audio 20 with a built-in CD player, Garmin MAP Pilot with integrated touch pad.
Moving one level up is the Mercedes-Benz C250 Coupe, which receives the M274 with 211 hp at 5,500 rpm and 350 Nm from 1,200 rpm to 4,000 rpm. Mercedes-benz says that the C250 Coupe can hit 100 km/h from a dead stop in just 6.8 seconds.
In terms of kit, the C250 Coupe get identical kit as the C200 Coupe, but with 19-inch AMG multi-spoke alloys, LED Intelligent Light System with Adaptive High-beam Assist Plus. The C250 Coupe also gets sports suspension and Keyless Go system.
Sitting on top of the range at the moment is the C300 Coupe. Like its siblings, the range-topping variant gets its power from a 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine, this time with 245 hp at 5,500 rpm and 370 Nm from 1,300 rpm to 4,000 rpm. This variant is able to sprint to 100 km/h in just 6.0 seconds, before reaching a top speed of 250 km/h.
Exterior wise, the C300 Coupe gets LED Intelligent Light System with Adaptive High-beam Assist and sports exhaust. Inside, the main difference is the addition of black open pore ash wood trim on the centre console, Comand Online infotainment system with DVD player, Burmaster sound system and an electric panoramic sliding sunroof.
Prices of the new Mercedes-Benz C-Class Coupe starts from RM308,888 for the C209 Coupe, while the C250 Coupe has a retail price of RM333,888. The range-topping C300 Coupe has a pricetag of RM388,888. All prices are OTR without insurance.
