Honda drops 2017 Ridgeline teaser ahead of Detroit debut

Honda Ridgeline

The name Ridgeline may not ring a bell for those in this region, but this Honda trucks is huge in the US, both literally and figuratively, that is.

The Honda Ridgeline was first introduced back in 2005 as a 2006 model year, and has received numerous updates over the years. Honda is set to debut the second generation Ridgeline at the 2016 Detroit Auto Show.

We developed this new Honda Ridgeline to offer something new and fundamentally better suited to the way many buyers use their truck,” said Jeff Conrad, senior vice president and general manager of the Honda Division.

Ridgeline will deliver everything you’d expect in a Honda from incredible packaging and fuel-efficiency to top safety technologies and innovative, segment-first features.  We’re honored to once again debut the Ridgeline in Detroit at the North American International Auto Show.

Expect the MY17 Honda Ridgeline to feature design cues from the recently launched third-generation Honda Pilot, which is what the Ridgeline is based on. The 3.5-litre V6 mated to a 9-speed automatic is also said to be available on the new truck.
