Perodua contributes RM20k and goods to orphanages

Perodua played host to a “Media Fun Race 2015” event here and contributes a total of RM20,000 as well as 80 schoolbags to orphanages as part of its Corporate Responsibility programme.

The Perodua Media Fun Race, which saw 30 participants from various media houses within Sabah, engaged in various challenges and games for prizes.

As part of the programme, Perodua approached and contributed to 2 orphanages; Pertubuhan Kebajikan Rumah Anak Yatim, Papar also known as Yayasan As-Sakinah and Rumah Kanak-Kanak Kota Kinabalu (RKK).

Each organisation received RM10,000 in cash to be used for the children under their care and 40 schoolbags to each home in preparation for the coming school year in January 2016.

“These contributions are our way of sharing the success and recognition that Malaysians have placed upon us,” Perodua President & CEO, Datuk Dr Aminar Rashid Salleh said.

On the Perodua Media Fun Race 2015, Perodua have set challenges in the Kota Kinabalu area for the 10 participating teams to overcome. While the participants had to endure various planned obstacles and challenges, they also enjoyed themselves.

The winners for the programme are “Team UB” from Utusan Borneo with the time of 20 minutes and 46 seconds, “The Three Stooges UB2”, also from Utusan Borneo with the time of 22 minutes and 00 seconds and “The Crooners” from New Sabah Times with the time of 22 minutes and 38 seconds.

“Congratulations to the 3 top teams; and to the rest of the participants thank you for giving it your all!” Aminar said.
