Ten KL roads to be closed in conjunction with the Asean Summit

In conjunction with the 27th Asean Summit, ten rounds around the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre will be closed. 

Beginning today (18 November), the road closure will run for the next 5 days, till 22 November. To ease traffic condition, traffic police will be deployed from 07:00 till 23:30 over the next five days.

The closed roads are :

  • Jalan Ampang
  • Jalan Binjai
  • Jalan Bukit Bintang
  • Jalan Imbi
  • Jalan Kia Peng
  • Jalan Perak
  • Jalan Pinang
  • Jalan P. Ramlee
  • Jalan Raja Chulan
  • Jalan Sultan Ismail

Those travelling from KLIA to the KL City Centre and from the Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah airport will also be affected by the road closure.

On this Saturday, 21 November, routes entering the KL City Centre will be closed in stages from 07:15 till 09:00, and closed between 19:15 and 20:50, during the opening ceremony and gala dinner, respectively.

Drivers are advised to use these alternative routes instead :

  • Jalan Kia Peng-Jalan Stonor
  • Jalan Tun Razak
  • Lorong Lumba Kuda
  • Jalan Yap Kwan Seng
  • Jalan Raja Chulan-Tun Perak
  • Jalan Hang Tuah
  • Jalan Pudu
