UMW Toyota Motor was ranked the highest in the J.D. Power 2015 Malaysia Sales Satisfaction Index (SSI) for the third year running. Toyota scored 791 points, much higher than the industry median of 752 points.
The study takes into account six main factors that contribute to the overall customer satisfaction with their new vehicle purchase. These factors, in order of importance, include: salesperson, dealer facility, delivery timing, deal, delivery process and sales initiation. Toyota performs exceptionally well in most of these criteria.
UMW Toyota Motor Deputy Chairman Mr. Akio Takeyama was pleased with Toyota’s achievement, and he said, “Clinching the first spot for three consecutive years gives us great pleasure. It is milestones such as this that continue to inspire and drive us to deliver not only quality products, but an overall meaningful experience with the brand.”
Datuk Ismet Suki, President of UMW Toyota Motor commented, “The title does not merely state our leadership position, but more importantly, it is a testament of our commitment to serve our customers, providing them with an enjoyable experience that is uniquely Toyota.”
“Let me take this opportunity to thank each and every member of UMW Toyota Motor, most especially our front-liners who had worked tirelessly to meet and even exceed our customers’ expectations,” Datuk Ismet Suki concluded.
The 2015 Malaysia Sales Satisfaction Index (SSI) Study is based on responses from 2,371 new vehicle owners who purchased their vehicle between August 2014 and May 2015. The study was fielded between February and July 2015.
