Motosikal & Engin Nasional Sdn. Bhd. or more commonly known as Modenas, recently unveiled a new model called the CT115S that is fully developed by the local company in Gurun, Kedah. The Modenas R&D department took two years to perform research and to develop the CT115S cub-motorbike.
The CT115S is designed to be more sporty and trendy, suitable to customers who wish to own a modern and athletic looking bike.
“We are targeting the young generation of buyers between 16 to 35 years old for this CT115S motorbike. It is designed with aerodynamic to make sure that the air flow freely and more efective and at the same time, it allows stability and high potential,” said En Amirudin Abd Kadir, Head of Executive Office, Modenas.
The CT115S uses “Mono” suspension that can be modified into 5 different levels that allows riders to modify the suspension settings based on their riding style. Model CT155S also is equipped with a portable electronic charger that allows you to charge your smartphone when travelling to and from work or college. Its engine (see specs below) is mated to a 4-speed gearbox, and the bike comes with both an electric- and kick-starter.
The new Modenas CT115S is competitively priced below RM5,000 per unit. Despite the challenging economical and competition amongst its rival, Modenas targets to sell at least 1500 units per month. This model will also the enhance Modenas in the motorcycle market from 9% – 12% for 2015 in-line with the company’s strategy and aim to make the No.1 motorcycle brand in Malaysia.
