Shell Rimula launches ‘Real Destinations’ global campaign

In Malaysia, in particular Sabah and Sarawak, Shell Rimula has been the most preferred heavy duty diesel engine oil brand for the past 6 decades, trusted by business owners across industries for the quality of its products and technical support.

This was reaffirmed when about 200 top customers from all over Malaysia and Singapore attended the Shell Rimula Technology Conference and Gala Dinner at the Magellan Sutera Resort in Kota Kinabalu to celebrate the decades-long business partnership.

Shell Lubricants Cluster General Manager – Southeast Asia, Troy Chapman, said that Shell invests more than any other oil company in research and development to not just understand the needs of today, but also those of the future.

“We are constantly developing customer-focused solutions that can help businesses, especially transport industry players and heavy equipment owners and operators, attain new levels of operational and cost efficiency.

I believe Shell customers, many of whom have been with us for a very long time, appreciate our commitment and understanding of their business needs. It is about less downtime and more ‘done’ time and Shell lubricant products, especially our Rimula range of heavy duty diesel engine oil, are proven to help do just that,” he said.

At the gathering, Shell Rimula also took the opportunity to launch ‘Real Destinations’, an emotive global integrated marketing campaign that was also the largest ever by the brand. The campaign, which carries the slogan, “Shell Rimula, the engine oil that works as hard as you”, celebrates the dreams and aspirations of truckers and fleet managers across the world and the hard work they put in every day to achieve them. It is running in 17 countries across Europe, the Americas, Africa and Asia, including Malaysia.

At the heart of the campaign is a series of films in which working truckers from China, Russia and the Americas reveal their personal motivations and goals, and how they are striving to reach them. The video can be watched below as well as via their online campaign hub here.

The hub also offers the opportunity for truckers and fleet managers in Malaysia to submit their own stories, so they can be shared and celebrated with others.

The Real Destinations campaign aims to celebrate that.
