Petronas Dagangan Bhd (PDB), the retail arm of national oil company Petroliam Nasional Bhd, has launched the new Euro-4M Petronas Primax 97, two weeks ahead of the government’s new European Fuel Directive standard implementation date, 1st September 2015.

As of today, the new Euro-4M RON97 petrol will replace the previous Euro 2M-grade RON97, but will continue to be offered at the same price tag of RM2.45 per litre.

Today, we are not only introducing a fuel that meets the gazetted requirement. We are also delivering to our customers an enhanced Petronas Primax 97 with improved advanced energy formula,” PDB’s managing director and CEO Mohd Ibrahimnuddin Mohd Yunus.

He also said that the Euro-4M petrol, which comes with lower benzene, sulphur content and reid vapour pressure (RVP) levels, is a greener fuel as it produces less emissions and pollutants, as compared with Euro-2M RON 97 petrol.
