Citroën is one of the most famous car brand in the world and so it appears that the French people fully agree with this statement too.
On the latest Posternak-Ifop survey gauging the brand image of French companies among the French public, Citroën came out top, as France’s overall favourite French brand, beating Peugeot and Renault.
According to the survey, Citroën is the French public’s favourite French brand, across all categories. The May 2015 poll across a representative sample of the French population gave Citroën a brand image index of 77, sharing first place with industry giant, Michelin in a ranking of 30 French companies in all sectors.
“We could hardly have hoped for a better result for our recent brand revamp, a wide-reaching program that extends to everything from products to communications materials and customer experience on the web and at the dealership,” said Citroën CEO Linda Jackson.
“All these aspects contribute to building brand image. So in all these aspects we want to fully express our true genetic make-up, that of an innovative carmaker superlatively attentive to driver and passenger well-being. By putting us in top place, the French public expresses their long-standing affection for Citroën’s unique spirit,” the executive added.
