Looking smoking hot from every angle, Audi Malaysia has just taken the wraps-off the third-generation Audi TT Coupe right here in Malaysia!

The third-generation TT pays tribute to its past where the model took the design world by storm, with a modern take on the bold original, with short overhangs, broad wheel arches and a lean and muscular stance.

In terms of dimensions, the third-generation Audi TT still maintains the same length of 4,177 meters, but shorter by 10mm than the previous generation model with longer wheelbase, making for shorter overhangs and overall more aggressive stance.

Horizontal lines dominate the front of the new TT and its Singleframe grille is much broader and flatter than that of previous models, with a powerful line dividing it into two zones.

True to its roots, the latest TT retains a  number of trademark design features including a retractable rear spoiler which extends from the trunk lid to improve air resistance and downforce at speeds above 120 km/h, a lidless aluminium fuel  flap surrounded by socket screws as well as signature round twin exhaust tailpipes.

This sporty coupe’s lean and muscular personality is also suitably reinforced with its distinctive xenon plus headlights with LED daytime running lights and all-weather lights which look good any time of day.

The interior of the new Audi TT continues with the theme “less is more”, with taut surfaces, floating lines and clearly structured space underlining the car’s pure sporting intent.

The round air-vents that resembles the turbine of a jet is a classic TT feature, while the rest of the cabin is well equipped with Audi virtual cockpit which combines the traditional instrument cluster and Audi’s own proprietary interface system, MMI radio with MMI touch into a singular digital interface focused on the driver, as well as the minimalist integration of all controls for the air conditioning system directly into the vents.

Under the hood, power is supplied by a 2.0L TFSI 4-cylinder petrol engine generating 230hp and 370Nm of torque, mated to a 6-speed dual clutch S tronic transmission. This sporty coupe is able to make the century sprint in a sprightly 5.9 seconds whilst reaching an electronically-governed top speed of 250km/h.

Despite its performance, the Audi TT remains highly fuel-efficient, with a combined cycle of 6.3-litres/100km and a C02 emission rating of 146 g/km.

Just like all Audi models, the TT will also comes equipped with a smorgasbord of electronic features to ensure an efficient and safe driving experience, including a start/stop system with energy recuperation, Electronic Stability Control (ESC), Traction Control (ASR), Electronic Brake Force Distribution (EBD), Electronic Differential Lock (EDL), parking aid plus with selective display and Anti-lock Braking System (ABS).

One particular highlight is the progressive steering, which is an electronically driven system that adapts its assistance based on the speed of the car so that it can be steered precisely with minimal adjustment of the steering wheel whether in downtown traffic or winding country roads. The Audi drive select system also comes standard on the new Audi TT, allowing drivers to control the engine characteristics and the steering assistance to suit their preference, choosing between comfort, auto, dynamic, efficiency and individual modes.

Available in 10 stunning colour choices, the all-new Audi TT Coupe is now available for booking at all authorised Audi dealerships from 8th May onwards and it is priced at RM284,900 on-the-road without insurance.
