Malaysian Moto2 rider Zahqwan Zaidi is excited to be setting foot in South America for the first time this weekend to compete in the Argentinian Grand Prix.

The 19-year old rookie will be challenged by unpredictable and likely rough weather conditions. “I am very thrilled to be here to compete in the Argentina GP but we only have input of this track from secondary sources. I will be familiarising myself with track conditions and continue to master the Suter machine,” says Zaqhwan.

He adds, “We were told the weather conditions are unpredictable, despite all that challenges, I am ready for the task and will give my 110% here.”

Zaqhwan was forced to retire after seven laps last weekend in the Austin GP in the United States due to mechanical problems. “I am hoping for a trouble-free machine this weekend and the conditions will allow me to give maximum output and best results possible,” comments Zahqwan.

The Argentina GP race day begins at midnight Malaysian time with the Moto3 race, followed by Moto2 at 0120HRS and MotoGP 0300HRS.
