Mazda3 SkyActiv CKD will retail from RM105,000, slated for April 2015 debut

For those of you who have been eyeing the Mazda3, now is the great time to place your booking because Bermaz Motor, the official importer and distributor of Mazda cars in Malaysia has just announced that the company will debut the locally-assembled Mazda3 in mid-April, with a more affordable price tag and even more kit that was not offered in the CBU version.

To recap, the fully-imported Mazda3 was launched in Malaysia about a year ago (read here) with a selling price of RM138,935 OTR with insurance. The locally-assembled Mazda3 on the other hand, will be available in three variants with prices ranging from  RM105,000 to RM 125,000 OTR* without insurance. As mentioned by the Bermaz Motor last year, there’s also a sporty hatchback variant priced at RM119,000 OTR* without insurance!

Under the hood, power comes from a familiar a 2.0-litre SkyActiv-G engine that is capable of producing 162hp and 210Nm of torque. The 6-speed automatic transmission is also developed using SkyActiv-Drive technology and features paddle shifters mounted on the steering wheel, except for the hatchback variant.

Additional features that buyers can expect are Multi-info Display with MZD Connect System, Head-up Display (HUD), i-Stop (Idling Start-Stop), i-Eloop  (Regenerative Braking System), Adaptive Front-Lighting System, High Beam Control  System, Smart City Brake System, Rear Vehicle Monitoring, Lane Departure Warning System, Commander Control Switch as well as Emergency Stop Signal (ESS).
