Force India previews the 2014 F1 car, and it looks nice, for now

Force India has become the first team to display the 2014 Formula 1 (F1) car by publishing an image of the VJM07. The 2014 F1 season will see a numerous of technical regulation changes, among them are the introduction of 1.6L V6 turbocharged engines and the lower front nose – a subject many fans feared it will make the F1 machines in 2014 looked like it has just fallen from the tree.

Based on first impression, it does look gorgeous, moreover with the team’s new livery colors which spots more black color to complement the usual colors of white, green and orange. The three later colors represent the colors from the Indian national flag as after all, this Silverstone based team is owned by Indian millionaire, Vijay Mallya.

“The VJM07 looks stunning, and the new livery reflects the way Sahara Force India is evolving,” explained Team Principal Vijay Mallya. He also added “It certainly feels as though there is the potential for 2014 to be our strongest season yet.”

The team has confirmed that it would be present at the Jerez test next week when the team, together with a few other F1 teams will launch their machines for 2014. The team will utilize the driving talents of Nico Hulkenberg and Sergio Perez for the 2014 campaign.

However, what remains to be seen is the front nose of the car – one F1 boss from another team has reported to have seen the 2014 car, and the only word came from his mouth was “ugly”.

UPDATE: It looks like Williams has revealed the glimpse of their 2014 challenge, the FW36 – which suggest how the front nose will look like.
