To celebrate the long and ongoing history of collaboration with an Italian tyre manufacturer, Pirelli, Lamborghini has created an exclusive new special series Aventador dubbed the Aventador LP 700-4 Pirelli Edition.

The long-standing collaboration between Lamborghini and Pirelli dates back to 1963 when founder Ferruccio Lamborghini turned to Pirelli to supply the tyres for his first car, the 350 GTV prototype.

The Lamborghini Aventador Pirelli Edition maintains all its technical features including the fiber monocoque, the V12 engine, pushrod suspensions and the permanent all-wheel drive. The exterior however, sports a two-tone color scheme in two options.

The first one gets matte black for the roof, pillars, rearview mirrors, engine hood, and front, rear, side and moving air intakes, in contrast with 6 glossy finishes for the rest of the body (Giallo Spica, Rosso Mars, Bianco Isis, Nero Aldebaran, Grigio Liqueo, and Grigio Ater).

The second color scheme has glossy black for the upper parts of the car and the air intakes, in contrast with 4 matte finishes for the rest of the exterior (Bianco Canopus, Nero Nemesis, Grigio Adamas, and Grigio Titans).

The Lamborghini Aventador Pirelli Edition also comes with a thin red stripe around the roof and the engine hood, mirrors and the outlets of the air intakes. Buyers also get the transparent engine hood, carbon engine compartment trim and glossy black rims shod with Pirelli tyres.

The Aventador Pirelli Edition will be offered as a coupe and roadster and the company is currently accepting orders. There’s no word on pricing but the first deliveries are scheduled for summer 2015.
