Proton Cars Australia has officially dropped 3 models from its lineup, namely the Proton S16 FLX, Proton Gen.2 and the Proton Persona Elegance. This leaves Proton Cars Australia with just 3 other remaining models, which includes the Proton Preve, Proton Suprima S and the Proton Exora.

The top selling model in Australia is the Proton Preve, with a total of 305 units sold in 2014. This is followed closely by the S16 FLX (173 units), Persona Elegance (67 units) while only 49 units of the Gen.2 were sold.

As for the Suprima S, Proton Cars Australia managed to shift just 58 units, while the Exora MPV managed 113 units.

Cars aside, Proton Cars Australia also ceased its 5-year/75,000 km free service offer. Owners of the Preve, Suprima S and the Exora will now go through a capped-price service program. Despite that, the 5-year warranty and 5-year roadside assistance is not affected.

Proton buyers in Australia can now save between $1,600 (apprx RM4,600) to $4,000 (apprx RM11,553) across models when they purchase 2013 and 2014 models.

Optimistically speaking, Proton Cars Australia could be making way for the Iriz and new Saga to be launched in Australia.
