2014-12-06 at 17-17-31

For the first time ever, the Ferrari Finali Mondiali was held outside Europe, more specifically, in Abu Dhabi. The Ferrari Finali Mondiali features exciting racing and a demonstration that showcases all the best of Ferrari.

Two rounds of the Ferrari Challenge thrilled the crowd and was meant to allocate the 3 world titles in Coppa Shell, Pirelli Pro and Pirelli Am. The world titles went to Massimiliano Bianchi, Max Blancardi and Ricardo Perez respectively. After the race, in excess of 200 Ferraris paraded around the Yas Marina circuit.

World Endurance Champions Gimmi Bruni and Toni Vilander then drove two AF Corse team GT cars, who were later joined by team mates Davide Rigon and James Calado. They also did a dummy pit stop with driver change, much like the 24-Hours Le Mans race.

After the AF Corse team GT cars, the XX Programme cars like the FXX and 599 XX entered the track. And for the first time ever, they were joined by the just-launched Ferrari FXX K. Head of test drivers Raffaele De Simone piloted the FXX K. The Ferrari FXX K is quite an attention grabber, considering that it was only seen parked in the paddock.

The show ended with Kimi Raikkonen and the test driver Marc Gene behind the wheel of the Ferrari F60 who did some simulated starts, wheel to wheel duels and pit stops and concluded the day with cloud of burn-out smoke.
