FXX K, the moment that name got uttered, our response was like, “You gotta be kidding me.” But nope, the Ferrari FXX K is real. Successor to the Ferrari FXX and the 599 XX, Ferrari has revealed the third car to join their Ferrari Corse Clienti Programme. Ferrari will be officially unveiling the car next week at the Yas Marina Circuit in Abu Dhabi. The K in the name is a reference to KERS (Kinetic Energy Recovery System) that is used in the FXX K.

With the standard LaFerrari made 789 horsepower from the engine alone, added with another 160 horsepower from the electric motor, the FXX K has increased those numbers to 848 horsepower from the engine, and 187 horsepower from the electric motor. Maximum torque, as quoted from Ferrari, “in excess of 900 Nm”.

Engine performance aside, Ferrari has also enhanced the aerodynamics of the FXX K, which the front end now sports a twin-profile spoiler and a larger splitter. The sides too, has been enhanced by oversized side skirts that extends from the sills, which Ferrari says to improve airflow under the body. The rear wings, too, has been heavily engineered to improve rear downforce.

Ferrari has also recalibrated the electronics in the FXX K, which includes the E-Diff electronic differential (E-Diff 3), F1-Trac traction control (EF1-Trac), Racing SSC (Side Slip Angle Control) to suit the slick tires that adorn the FXX K. Even the ABS settings can be altered from the steering wheel itself.

Like other Ferrari Corse Clienti Programme cars, Ferrari will be allowing the owners to drive the car during specially arranged track day sessions.
