Potential Lego toys that Petrolheads should support

It seems Lego is on a roll when it comes to winning the hearts and minds of petrolheads. With the Mini and the new 2015 lineup, you too can make petrolheads happy by voting two new ideas under the Lego Ideas page.

The Lego Ideas page allows fans to create and propose new ideas of Lego toys to the Danish toymaker. If that idea gets 10,000 support from fans, it will be automatically submitted to Lego board for review, before (and if lucky) it will be released for production as a new Lego product. So far the DeLorean from the Back to the Future series and Ghostbuster’s Ecto-1 vehicle have received blocks and pieces adaptation from Lego. Both these are made possible thanks to Lego Ideas.

We have browsed through that page and found the following two that deserves some support from car loving folks like us!

1969 Chevrolet Corvette

The American muscle from the 60’s should be a standout just like the Mini, VW camper van and the Beetle from the Lego Creator series. The “Vette” as we know is a highly sought classic, and just like the green Mini, it should undoubtedly be an instant seller for petrolheads.

As for now, it has 5000+ supporters hence fans will have around 300 days to make it to 10,000 before it will be submitted for Lego for review.

Initial D – 20th Anniversary

Lego has a great number of themed toyline, ranging from Star Wars, Marvel/DC Superheroes and many more. Someone suggested the Initial D toyline for Lego, and we did it’s a great idea.

Included in this set are the iconic Fujiwara Tofu shop, the main character Fujiwara Takumi and of cause, the famous black and white Toyota Trueno AE86 with the shop’s label on the door. In-line with the comic’s 20th anniversary by 2015, we would think Lego will play a brilliant tribute to all fans of both Initial D series and that iconic AE86.

Till date, it has obtained 2,800 supporters, hence fans should play their part to ensure the 20th anniversary of Initial D series a memorable one, in blocks and pieces that is.
