Good news for BMW enthusiasts out there, it’s finally here. Those who have been waiting for ages to have the vehicle registration number ‘BMW’ on their BMW can now start bidding for their number from 14th August at 8am until August 28, 2014 12pm. Application for these new registration numbers are available at all JPJ offices nationwide.

According to JPJ (Jabatan Pengangkutan Jalan Malaysia), the minimum reservation price for each registration number is subject to a number of categories. For instance, the minimum reservation price for the ‘golden number’ (1-10) is RM10,000 while for ‘attractive number’ like 11, 99, 88, 1111, etc , a minimum bid of RM2,000 is accepted.  ‘Popular number’ such as 1199, 1919, and so on will require a minimum bid of RM300 and same goes to other registration numbers which receive bookings from other keen buyers.

To apply for these registration numbers, all you need to do is fill and submit the form below along with a registration fee of RM10. A 50% deposit for the bidding number is required and will be refunded if you lose the bid. The good news is, you don’t have to own a BMW to actually have a BMW number plate. You can even apply for these reg numbers for your scooter (BMW does make a scooter by the way. – Ed)
